Limited Driving Privileges (LDPs) in North Carolina for Driving While Impaired Offenses

Limited Driving Privileges (LDPs)

If you have been arrested for a DWI your biggest concern may be your driving privilege. Most people need to be able to drive to work or take care of or run their home. As part of all DWI cases we handle at The Olsinski Law Firm, we include limited driving privilege services in our flat fee. DWI cases have many different requirements and time frames for limited driving privileges (LDPs). The first LDP that concerns people is after 10 days of being suspend on a 30 day civil revocation, one can receive a LDP from day 11-30 of that revocation. If you are interested in this privilege you need to schedule a free consultation* with one of our attorneys as soon as possible. This particular privilege will require you to do a few things and since there is a short window to prepare, it is really important that you see one of our DWI attorneys as soon as possible.

If someone is convicted of a DWI, in many cases they will qualify for a limited driving privilege the day of conviction. Even if we take your case to trial or hearing, we always prepare a contingency LDP in case we do not get the result we are seeking. If your BAC was over .15 and that number is admitted into court against you, you will have to wait 45 days and have an interlock device installed on your car before being allowed this privilege. There are many different requirements depending on your unique situation. Come talk to an experienced DWI lawyer at our Charlotte or Concord offices. We will cover every question you have about your case and your driving options.
